در بیانیه برنامه نظارت بر حمایت از مدافعان حقوق بشر آمده است که محمدعلی دادخواه، وکیل دادگستری و عضو موسس کانون مدافعان حقوق بشر در ایران، روز دهم اردیبهشت امسال و زمانی که برای دفاع از موکلش به دادگاه رفته بود، "اطلاع یافته که حکم محکومیت او به ۹ سال زندان و ۱۰ سال محرومیت از اشتغال به حرفه وکالت و تدریس، در مرحله تجدیدنظر تایید شده است."

گزارش شده است که قاضی دادگاه به استناد حکم دادگاه تجدیدنظر، مانع دفاع آقای دادخواه از موکلش شده است و "آقای دادخواه هر لحظه در خطر دستگیری به سر می‌برد."

قاضی صلواتی، قضاوت دادگاه بدوی محمدعلی دادخواه را به عهده داشته است.
